Petra Ludvíková
Petra is a key member of the programing team of Palác Akropolis, the live music venue in Prague.
among other responsibilities here, she handles activities related to the membership of the Liveurope platform, the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote European music diversity. She also promotes Czech music scene within this network.
specializing mainly in alternative music, she has been organizing live shows for 16 years. She´s organized hundreds of shows of international artists, such as Lubomyr Melnyk, Martin Kohlstedt, Mezerg, Dakhabrakha, VÖK, Little Dragon, Emiliana Torrini, Hjaltalín, Kadebostany, Whitest Boy Alive, Wild Beasts, Chinese Man, Einar Stray Orchestra, Yonderboy, Dub Pistols, Digitalism, Niki and the Dove, BOKKA, Hanne Hukkelberg, Patrick Wolf, Nathan Fake, Efterklang, The Notwist, The Do, Watcha Clan, Gold Panda etc.
since the late 90´s, she has been working as a DJ at Radio 1, the iconic Czech radio station.
she is also the founder of the 8PM promotion agency. As a promoter and producer, she is particularly involved in the topic of women in music and since 2013 she has been regularly hosting exceptional female artists in Prague as part of her Femme Fatale concert series. (e.g. Amanda Palmer, Anna von Hauswolff, Ane Brun, Nouvelle Vague, First Aid Kit, Susanne Sundfor, Lola Marsh, Juana Molina, Agnes Obel, Onuka, Pongo...)
in the past, she was, among other things, the editor of music programs at Stanice O /TV Óčko, where she also hosted her own show about electronic music.
she has an experience as a manager of a few Czech artists, such as Never Sol, ILLE or Voila!
she regularly participates in international music showcase festivals and conferences, such as Eurosonic, M.I.L. Lisboa, Europavox, Reeperbahn, PIN, Waves Vienna, By:larm, M for Montreal, Musexpo. She has been involved several times in the nomination process for the European music awards Music Moves Europe, served on the jury of the Hungarian festival Bush, the Czeching competition on Radio Wave, and in 2024, she will be part of the international jury for the l'Aeronef to select the best French emerging musicians.
