“Synchronisation” is the matching of music to moving pictures - as in film, TV, advertising and games. It has been one of the most important and influential subjects in professional music in recent years. Read info below and join our workshop!
The “music side" - artists, composers, publishers, labels - usually have heard of and maybe even seen the benefits and the potential in Synch, but very often they lack the experience and knowledge of how it works in practice and, at the same time, find themselves in an unsupportive regional Synch landscape, in which the “client side” is at least as clueless.
This is the first edition of a new round-table format addressing the Czech Synch landscape. Who are the players and what are the structures and the work-flows in the audio-visual sectors, when it comes to music ? What are the basic professional requirements of the Synch-business, and what are the opportunities for music professionals ? Most of all: What are the challenges, the short-comings, the knowledge-gaps - and how do we address them ! WHO IS MARKUS LINDE?
Markus Linde is a founding member of the Europe in Synch initiative and the head of their Academy, in which professionals from the music side and audio-visual disciplines are brought together, bridging knowledge-gaps, building trust and creating an improved synch-landscape.
With a professional history in the record business, publishing and artist management, he has been running his thag’s agent imprint for over 20 years garnering a track record for music placements in national and international advertising campaigns. Markus Linde is an expert in music rights research and clearances, he contributes to films and TV productions and supervises major TV shows.
Markus also is a speaker on international conferences and consulting contributor to workshops and seminars.
