Composer František Chaloupka collaborates with leading musicians and conductors from the world of contemporary and classical music in Europe and America. His compositions have premiered at festivals such as Musica Viva Munich, Musikprotokoll Graz, Wien Modern, Warsaw Autumn, Ostrava Days, Prague Spring, Gaudeamus Muziekweek Utrecht, Autumn Chamber Music Days Riga and others. In the spring of 2023, the premiere of his composition The Witch Waltzers 1.-3. (2022) took place in New York. The composition was performed at the Bohemian National Hall by the Ostravská banda ensemble with conductor Jiří Rožeň. In May 2023, his composition The Spectral Waltzer for ensemble was performed at the Prague Spring festival. The composition was premiered by the prestigious Klangforum Wien ensemble with conductor Peter Rundel. In June 2024, the NODO festival premiered his full-length opera Zaprodanec (The Sell-Out) for solos, choir and orchestra. The opera is inspired by the work of J. A. Comenius and has received enthusiastic reviews from audiences and critics. In May 2024, the composition Allegory Of The Cave II. or symphony orchestra was included among the 9 most outstanding works recommended for world broadcast at the International Music Council (IMC) show held in Vilnius.
