From impoverished Czech-German borderlands to wealthy Prague, Anki tells his real life story of a member of the Vietnamese community trying to break free from poverty and stereotypes.
Born in Germany to Vietnamese parents and later moving to the Czech republic's most poor area, the culturally uprooted boy found his real home in rap music. When he finally learned basic Vietnamese in his 20s, he recorded his debut album Saigon Stories partly as a joke, but the album surprisingly became popular in the Vietnamese speaking emigrant circles world wide. His Czech speaking debut No More Drama was shortlisted as Best album at 2022 annual music awards Vinyla. A year later Anki released EU Passport Karaoke EP in celebration of finally getting the desired Czech passport.
